🌿 Day 17 – Never Abandoned

Scripture:
“But in Your great mercy You did not put an end to them or abandon them, for You are a gracious and merciful God.”
— Nehemiah 9:31

🌸 Reflection

How comforting it is to know—God never gives up on us. Even when we wander, resist, or forget His goodness, His mercy remains. Israel’s story is our story: again and again, God’s grace outlasts our failures.

Mercy doesn’t mean the absence of consequence; it means the presence of compassion. God’s love is patient, His heart steadfast. He does not abandon His people, even when they falter. Instead, He calls them back, again and again, with tenderness and truth.

If you’ve felt distant or unworthy, take heart—He has not turned away. His mercy is greater than your missteps, and His grace is strong enough to carry you home. 🌿
